The thought of a Boudoir session can be scary! When talking to our clients about their sessions, we get asked all kinds of questions and we want to share them with you! We compiled a list of 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight and ease some nerves on preparing for a boudoir session with our team!
Do you share my images?
Our number one priority is making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with your first Boudoir experience! It is a life changing experience, and even though you did the damn thing, we promise, you'll fall in LOVE with your images!! You may not be quite ready to share them with the world and that's okay! Maybe these photos are specifically for your eyes only, or your spouse! These are both great reasons for not sharing your images and it all depends on your personal preference. You will fill out a Pre-Session Model Release before your session asking if you are willing to share your images, followed by a Full Model Release. As much as we LOVE your session photos, we ALWAYS respect your decision when it comes to sharing images!
Do I have to wear lingerie?
You definitely don't HAVE to wear lingerie! We encourage you to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in! We provide you with a Wardrobe Guide, giving you insight on what lingerie to buy, and other wardrobe ideas that show your personality. Don't worry, we got you girl!! Lingerie can be foreign to some, and even intimidating. We make sure you're set up for success! We also have Bonus Sets, which are free session add ons! They are an excellent way to spice up your session and add something totally unique to it.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes! Every client is offered a Pre-Session Payment Plan that can start as early as the day they book their session and can extend until the week prior to their session. You can choose to have your payment plan be automatically drafted weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly for a set amount so that when your session date arrives, your order is paid in full. Payment plans are offered on amounts of $1900 or higher only.
Is hair and makeup included?
Yes! Our amazing GLAM squad give you your desired look, whether that's a natural "I just woke up like this" look or FULL glam! We believe it's important for you to feel pampered and really step into your QUEEN energy! In your Pre-Session Prep Guide, you'll have all of the "Do's and Dont's" for how to successfully prepare for your Boudoir makeover!
Do you photoshop my images?
Yes! Our photographer edits your photos! All of the beautiful parts of yourself are never edited out. We always ask what your favorite physical feature of yourself to really capture them during your session! If there are parts of yourself that you are still learning to love, that's okay! We are skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and bring out your radiance! W e will never change or alter the way your body looks in photoshop unless requested (which is pretty much never).
Where should I buy outfits?
Before your session, you'll be prepped with a Wardrobe Style Guide that covers what to wear, what not to wear, and where to shop! Wardrobe is an essential part of your boudoir session and a huge part of your session is using proper wardrobe that is not only beautiful, but that flatters your body and feels empowering. Some of our clients opt to shop on their own and bring their own hand selected pieces, and some use our cheat sheet to start shopping for their session! A few of our favorite shops include: Amazon, Yandy, Honey Birdette, Adore Me, Lounge, and Shein.
What type of print products do you have?
We offer a variety of albums (including album upgrades), metal wall art, and several add-on options such an ice block, calendar, and more! The feeling of picking up a physical print of yourself, or flipping through a gorgeous album of your session photos is a daily reminder of how empowering, beautiful, and strong you are for taking the leap and choosing yourself! An experience you will remember forever!
Do you offer digitals?
Absolutely! When booking your boudoir session, you'll receive an Investment Menu which offers The Collections - which includes a Digital Gallery including your album and metal wall art.
I'm freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?!
Completely normal babe!! Nerves are all a part of the experience! The nervousness in the beginning of your session will disappear after you see your hair and makeup transformation, you're wearing your lingerie, listening to music and receiving all of our support and guidance! When we say we're your hype girls, we're not lying!! The amount of fun you'll have during your session...just waittt!!!
How many outfits should I bring?
The more options, the better! When you arrive at your session, we'll ask you what your favorite 3 outfits are that you brought to narrow it down. We will typically shoot in 3 outfits, also depending on if you added on any Bonus Sets to your session!
Should I get to my shoot early?
No, please don't! We often hold several back to back appointments during the day so we will not be able to let you in early. But, we promise to be ready for you promptly at your scheduled appointment time!
Where is your studio located?
You will receive an email the day before your session with our Mesa Studio Address with instructions on where to find us! Our main crossroads are Southern + Alma School Rd.
